9-Month-Old Wake Windows
Most 9-month-olds stay awake about 2 hr 30 min – 3 hr 30 min between sleeps. It’s the range the Wake Window app uses for babies aged 7–9 months.

At 9 months
Nine months is the last month in the 2 hr 30 min – 3 hr 30 min range, and many babies are comfortable toward the longer end of it.
From 10 months the suggested range moves to 3 hr – 4 hr, so if your baby is regularly happy at three and a half hours, they may simply be ahead of the chart.

Common questions
Can a 9-month-old stay awake 4 hours?
Four hours is beyond the typical range for 9 months, though some babies approaching 10 months manage it. If your baby is fussy by then, offer sleep earlier.
What if the chart doesn't match my baby?
That's common. Ranges are typical starting points. The Wake Window app lets you set a custom wake window that fits what you see.
