5-Month-Old Wake Windows
Most 5-month-olds stay awake about 2 hr – 2 hr 45 min between sleeps. It’s the range the Wake Window app uses for babies aged 5–6 months.

At 5 months
At five months the suggested range moves to 2 hr – 2 hr 45 min. If your baby was happy at two hours last month, the start of this range may feel familiar.
Babies this age are often rolling, grabbing and much more interested in the world, which can make settling for a nap harder when they've been up a long time.

Common questions
Is 3 hours too long for a 5-month-old?
Three hours is beyond the typical range for this age. If your baby is often awake that long, try offering the nap toward the end of the 2 hr – 2 hr 45 min window instead.
Why did the range jump so much from 4 months?
Wake Window groups guidance into age bands, and the 3–4 month band ends at 2 hr while the 5–6 month band starts there. In practice the change is gradual; move toward the new range over a few days.
