2-Month-Old Wake Windows

Most 2-month-olds stay awake about 1 hr – 1 hr 30 min between sleeps. It’s the range the Wake Window app uses for babies aged 1–2 months.

At 2 months

Two months is the last month in the 60–90 minute range. As babies get closer to three months, it's common for them to handle the longer end of it.

Babies this age are often more social and interested in faces, which can make it easy to miss early tired cues. A quick look at the clock helps.

Common questions

Is 2 hours too long for a 2-month-old to be awake?

Two hours is beyond the typical 60–90 minute range for this age. Some babies manage it now and then, but if yours is regularly awake that long and fussy, try offering sleep a little earlier.

What changes at 3 months?

From 3 months, Wake Window suggests a longer range of 1 hr 15 min to 2 hr between naps.
